MLC's Annual Parent/Child Pancake Breakfast was a great success

The pancakes were delicious! Everybody loved the “secret batter” pancakes and the assorted toppings. While the children were going wild with the toy raffle, the adults enjoyed mimosas. The toy raffles went non-stop for two hours. We distributed over 80 toys, large and small.
Mid-way through the breakfast, the children went outside to the parking lot to take a whack at the piñata! All the parents enjoyed watching their children take a swing at the piñata and the kids made a mad scramble to pick up the large amount of candy that fell out when the piñata busted open.
The grand finale was the raffle of a bike and helmet. By coincidence, the boy who helped pick out the winning ticket from the tumbler blindly picked out his own name and won the bike. The boy was shocked and the look on his face was priceless!
All in all, it was a great time and a memorable occasion. The pancake breakfast was the Men’s Legal Center’s way of saying thank-you for all who support our efforts. Thanks to all who attended and made this event a great success and to all of those who could not attend, you missed a great time! One parent said: “I have not been to a pancake breakfast in years. I did not remember how much fun it was. My seven year old son and I had a great time.”
