There are innumerable reasons that will lead a married couple to pursue a divorce.  These cases are filed on a daily basis in California and around the United States, and for many years researchers have been studying the issue in an attempt to learn more about this phenomenon.  Recently, the preliminary results of a study were publicized that have led to much in the way of reaction from professionals in many disciplines.  This study suggests that divorce can actually be contagious within social circles.
